On South Australia’s remote Eyre Peninsula, Baird Bay Seaside Villas offer an invitation to slow down. The pair of villas — Selkie and Eko — sit low against the landscape, their rammed earth walls and neutral palette echoing the tones of the surrounding coast.

Inside, textures of seagrass, linen, and timber soften the elemental exterior, while handmade ceramics and local Indigenous artworks tell a story of community and respect for Country. The design is restrained but deeply sensory — each detail considered, every material chosen for how it feels as much as how it looks.

Days unfold in rhythm with the natural world. Guests swim with wild sea lions and dolphins, explore delicate marine ecosystems, and return to the quiet of their private sanctuary as the light fades across the bay.

Evenings are marked by chef-prepared meals that celebrate regional ingredients — all prepared with the same care that defines the place itself.
